A Vagabond and A Wizard

When a wandering wizard, chanced upon the Random Paths of a vagabond, thoughts overlapped. For, the wizard could work upon the wheel of words and the vagabond spoke through potent images. Did life stand still when the two exchanged their first greetings? We don't think so, for both joined in a quest of wielding images and powerful thoughts. This blog is a portrait of such efforts...

Causalities – a take on time

img_19213

A heart beat matching
The ticking clock.
Events unfolding behind.
The rhyme remembers
The pace.
The self fails to.
"BLANK NARRATION OF
THINGS THAT HAPPENED
THE PREVIOUS DAY"
It is past.
It is a factual part of history.
The ticking watch
Beats around...
The beating heart
Fails to.

Time has various facets, some are joyous, some morose...sometimes busy, sometimes lazy... sometimes sunny and sometimes rain-drenched...sometimes it is vibrant with festivities--and at times it brings boredom of loneliness.

Dear  reader coming your way is a series of our offerings on time called SHOMOY - the moments. SHOMOY is a Bengali word meaning time. Here we depict the different faces of time through our painted words and written images. So watch out for

SHOMOY - the moments

Sometimes I feel that life is passing me by, not slowly either, but with ropes of steam and spark-spattered wheels and a hoarse roar of power or terror. It's passing, yet I'm the one who's doing all the moving....

nice post

time is something that i make reference to in a few of my poems. the concept of time has always fascinated me and I still ponder it. How could you not? time has many facets as you say.

I just had a thought now, speaking of 'time standing still' would that not mean you in in the moment? something that we all should be doing more often.

your poem is wonderfully thought provoking and well written. Enjoyed it very much
thank you

you might like to take a look at one of my poems 'Lifeless Glove' on my blog. It has a reference to time in there. just a thought

please, take care

The last four lines are stuck on replay in my mind. A play on words that seems so simple by sight only to be quit the opposite in the reality of the heart. I like this poem. thank you for a deeper meaning between the lines. :)

this came via mail, I could not stop myself from sharing this with others reading this post and this blog..I have n't taken permission of the sender, for which I am too sorry...

still, I shared because, it can from a newly found friend...

While reading your post about 'samay-the time' suddenly this thing came into my mind. Its obviously not mine, It might be a song or Poem of an unknown author. This writing won't go with your that post, but then suddenly The words pushes me to pass it on to you as It seemed to me that there are some'thing', some 'words' perhaps i wanted to convey You...
So here It is-

Time has told me
You're a rare rare find
A troubled cure
For a troubled mind.

And time has told me
Not to ask for more
Someday our ocean
Will find its shore.

So I`ll leave the ways that are making me be
What I really don't want to be
Leave the ways that are making me love
What I really don't want to love.

Time has told me
You came with the dawn
A soul with no footprint
A rose with no thorn.

Your tears they tell me
To stay by my side
To keep on trying
'til there's no more to hide.

So leave the ways that are making you be
What you really don't want to be
Leave the ways that are making you love
What you really don't want to love.

Time has told me
You're a rare rare find
For some day our ocean
Will find its shore.

Right now, my time is confused. :p
And you are right. Time plays different roles and we should play along.
Nice one. I liked it. :)

And to each of us, the meaning of time is within our own concept, yet sometimes changing for each of us...

Time, like the self is a constant companion.
It is inescapably unavoidable.
